LAWRENCE W. GORDON, M.D.

Lawrence (Lance) Gordon is a West Tennessee native. He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee. Afterward he spent four years in a hospital based microsurgical training lab sponsored by Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans, Louisiana teaching microvascular techniques to resident physicians and private practitioners. He returned to Tennessee for medical school obtaining his M.D. and ophthalmology residency training from the University of Tennessee. He did his retina fellowship in Baltimore, Maryland training under the late Bert Glaser, Robert Murphy, John Thompson, and Raymond Sjaarda. 

In 1997 he joined Mid-South Retina. He is a member of the AAO, ASRS, and Memphis Eye Society. Lance and his wife enjoy living in a rural environment where they can pursue their outdoor activities such as gardening. Lance also enjoys biking, running, and swimming.
